Performances of The Elephant Man have begun at the Booth Theatre, and that can only mean one thing: Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper is back on Broadway! The screen stud appears alongside co-stars Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola in the new production of Bernard Pomerance’s drama. The trio is looking awfully dapper in the newest issue of Vogue, posing onstage at the Booth in this photo by Annie Leibovitz. In The Elephant Man, Cooper won’t be wearing prosthetics—he will transform into John Merrick before the audience’s eyes. “You start out watching a normal man—me—becoming this freak,” Cooper told Vogue, “And then once you’ve given yourself over to the illusion, you slowly start to see him as a normal man beneath the skin.” See the transformation live on Broadway, opening officially on December 7, 2014!
